On that day, Jack was on holiday with his family. He was walking towards a river with a box for fishing when he saw a girl riding down a hill. The girl lost control of her bike and fell into the river. One of her arms was caught under the bike, so she couldn't free herself.
Jack threw away his box and ran towards the girl. He could see her waving her hand in the air above the water. The boy quickly took the girl's arm and tried his best to get her out of the water. Luckily, the girl was saved and not badly hurt. Later, her parents arrived and they felt so thankful that they gave Jack some gifts to thank him.

In Russia, the population is going down by about 100 people every hour! Russia's population could fall by one third by the year 2050. And in Poland the population is also going down, too.
Why? One of the main reasons is the change of lifestyle. Many parents in Europe think that having one child is enough for them. And many people in Poland are leaving the country to work abroad. Since 2005, more than half a million people in Poland have moved to Britain, Germany, Spain and Italy.
Many governments are trying to improve this situation. In France, a mother of two now is offered nearly $1,000 a month for a year if she has her third child. Australian women receive $700 a month for three years when they have their first child.
