I was born in Chongqing in 2000.rKr答案圈

This was where it all started. When I was a kid, I did street performances at an underpass in the city. I was shy at the time, but the people passing by let me feel the spotlight for the first time. Nervous as I was, a strength also began to grow inside and filled my heart.rKr答案圈

I debuted at the age of 13. Two years later, I held a birthday show in Chongqing, where I sang a song I wrote myself for the first time. It was a breakthrough for me.rKr答案圈

When I turned 18, I came back to Chongqing to put on another birthday show. What could be more exciting than celebrating my entry into adulthood in the city where I grew up?rKr答案圈

Last year when I was 19, I wrote a rap song in the Chongqing dialect. I wrote that I am who I am partly because I was born and raised in the city that keeps changing and knows no boundaries. It is my love letter to Chongqing.rKr答案圈

Later that summer, I went to Boston to study at Berklee College of Music. That was the first time I was abroad for a prolonged period of time. Sometimes at night, I would recall memories of Chongqing, thinking of the teahouses that grandpa took me to when I was a kid, of the old town now spruced up by artsy graffiti, and certainly of all the delicious food and snacks there.rKr答案圈

I’ve been lucky to have already traveled to many cities around the world. Many of them are beautiful and unique in their own ways, but Chongqing remained a special place for me. I could always be content here in my hometown, where I am closest to my family and friends.rKr答案圈

去年夏天，我奔赴波士顿，开始在伯克利音乐学院的求学生涯。这是我第一次长时间待在国外。有时候在夜里，我会想起重庆，想起小时候爷爷带我去茶馆喝茶，想起如今被涂鸦装扮一新的老城区，当然也想起重庆的美食小吃。rKr答案圈
