(M) How much do you know about the baiji? It is a kind of dolphin. People call it “Goddess of the Yangtze”. At birth, the baby baiji is about 80 to 90 cm long and it weighs 2 to 5 kilos. An adult baiji is about 1.4 to 2.7 meters long and weighs 135 to 230 kilos. The baiji's favorite food is small fish and it can eat about 10 kilos of fish a day. The baiji usually lives in deep water and can live for about 24 years in the wild. When running away from danger, the baiji can reach 60 km/h, but it usually stays within 30 to 40 km/h. However, there are hardly any baijis left in the Yangtze River for a number of reasons. The last known living baiji Qiqi died in 2002. It was a sad thing.
